PostgreSQL < 18.5, 17.11, 16.15, 15.19, and 14.24 contains a heap buffer overflow caused by unanticipated data growth in regexp processing via pg_wchar, letting query authors execute arbitrary code as the OS user, exploit requires crafted text that bypasses encoding validation.
