PostgreSQL 17-18 < 18.5 and < 17.11 contain a broken authentication caused by improper enforcement of message integrity in GSSAPI support, letting users negotiate GSSAPI contrary to pg_hba.conf rules and downgrade to weaker TLS encryption, exploit requires initial direct TLS connection.
