Node.js < 12.22.9, < 14.18.3, < 16.13.2, and < 17.3.1 accept arbitrary Subject Alternative Name (SAN) types, including URI SANs, which can bypass name constraints in PKIs, letting attackers impersonate hosts, exploit requires accepting all SAN types without validation.
